TRAVEL TO ITALY
Following the award of an Artists' International Development Fund grant from the British Council/Arts Council England, I was able to travel to Italy with idea to research and document unique unpublished and unknown early baroque musical treasures.
During a 15-day research trip to Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome and Naples, aiming to develop my practice as composer, arranger and musicologist I visited diverse libraries spending three days in each city, visit locations where the manuscripts were preserved and arranging at least two meetings with local artists and curators.
The rise of the Baroque
A direct consequence of the Artists' International Development Fund award from the British Council/Arts Council England and after a three months journey of study and research, has been the commission from Olga Popova; my first neo baroque violin solo work inspired by Giandomenico Tiepolo collection of private Sketches.
